This system was developed to translate CT image data measured from the products (cast) to the solid (3D) data, in order to evaluate/analyze the internal defects (void, etc).
It first extracts the product from the scan image data (slices) and creates polylines of it. The system then conducts evaluation/analysis by displaying those polylines to give a graphic representation of the internal structure, and additionally, the defects. Also, since the system is equipped with the user interface designed in consideration of usage at CT scanning site, it is friendly to people without technical skills.
Furthermore, as an expected merit, by around 90 percent of data size reduction is possible through the data translation from image data to polyline data. This reduces the data volume in the storage server and network traffic (enabling the data usage for traceability).
Optional feature enables data output in “STL” format, allowing the utilization of it in pre/post-processing. To link with advanced analysis system becomes easier.
